Pagan Magic

A Pagan Spellbook - for pagans magic is just another part of nature The existence of Pagan Magic one of the things that most Pagan Regions agree upon. Magic, also called witchcraft or sorcery, is simply the ability to create what you what through your desire and will. This is often called "manifestation through energy and intent", a phrase I have seen in several texts. Magic effects reality in ways that are not fully understood by science.

In paganism, magic is not supernatural - we simply have a slightly broader understanding of what is natural. The principles of magic are found in positive thinking, manifestation, affirmation, and creative visualization. Pagan Magic works best when reenforced by action. The power for magic comes from yourself, the earth and the divine.

The Tree of Life from Kaballah Magic and prayer are similar, in that both call on personal and divine power to change the world. The big difference is in how the two call on the divine. Most prayer calls on a god or goddess to change reality for the prayer. Magic calls on the divine to supplement or enhance the power of the caster. Magic encourages closeness and equality with deity, while prayer encourages a certain degree of separation.

In all forms of Magic, personal power is infused with the need then released. There are many magical forms, from simple folk magic to the complex and formal ceremonial magic. It is generally a good thing to study the basics of several forms of magic to discover which resonates most with you. This is because in order to work, Magic must resonate with the individual performing it. This can vary even in the closest and most like minded of people. For example, my wife frequently performs magic in rhyme, while I have a hard time taking rhyming magic spells seriously. You should always use whatever works best for you.
